What is the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)?

The CAPM stands for the Certified Associate in Project Management, which is a certification program from the PMI for the entry level project practitioner. Project professionals who do not have any experience, or have a little experience in project management, can apply for this certification.

Having the CAPM certification shows your commitment to learn and acquire new skills. It also demonstrates that you know the terminology and processes used in project management.

If you have very little experience or you have just started your career, then this certification will surely help you to take your career to the next level. This certification shows your employer that you are a capable person, and you have the ability to manage projects. It also shows that you are well aware of the terminology used in the PMBOK Guide.

    I just passed my CAPM exams. How soon can I do the PMP exams? Do I automatically qualify for it?

      Congratulations for passing the CAPM Exam.

      No, you are not automatically qualified for the PMP Certification Exam.

      Regarding your PMP Exam, if you are a degree holder then once you attain three years of experience as a project manager, you can sit for the PMP exam. And if you’re are a diploma holder then five year experience is required.
