Today’s topic is “Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).”
No one wants a defective product, whether they are a user or the company which is producing the product. Defects are costly, cause frustration, and may damage the reputation of the company.
You as a project manager will never want your company to lose money or its reputation. Therefore you will use any possible technique to minimize the failure or defects in the product.
One such technique is “Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)”, which is also known as Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and sometimes simply failure modes.
