However, you must also refer to some other PMP exam preparation books to pass the exam because the PMBOK Guide does not explain all the concepts well and does not address all the questions on the test.

I have received a few emails from PMP aspirants who wanted to see the PMP Exam Result Report.

Once you complete the test and leave the examination hall, a Pearson VUE staff member will give you a printout of the result report.

The report has two sections.

You will receive your PMP certification exam test results before you leave your testing desk.

Once you submit your answers, there will be a short survey. After that, the display will turn white for a few moments and your test result will display on the screen.

If you have passed the exam, you will receive a congratulation from the PMI and a message saying that you will get your certificate within four to six weeks at the address you provided to the PMI at the time of filling out the application form.

You can start using the title “PMP” immediately after passing the exam.

I often receive emails from my blog visitors asking about the validity of their 35 contact hours, such as:

“I earned my 35 contact hours a few years back, are they still valid?”

“I got my project management training based on the 5th edition of the PMBOK Guide. Now the PMP exam is based on the 6th edition, can I apply for the exam now based on my old contact hours, or are they expired?”

Many visitors ask me that they have completed the training. Now they wonder when their contact hours will expire so they can plan their PMP exam accordingly.

Firstly, you should understand that you cannot avoid a PMP audit, because the selection of a candidate is a random process and only the PMI knows how it works.

According to the PMI,

“All applications are subject to an audit, although only a percentage of applications are selected for an audit. The selection of an application for audit is random.”

You should not be afraid of an audit, because failing an audit will not sentence you to a life of imprisonment.

However, that does not mean that you should invite the PMI to audit you. I believe there are some red flags, which may trigger selection and make you more prone to an audit. I believe that if you make some mistakes on your PMP application form, this raises a flag, and you may be selected for an audit.

This can be a painful experience. You may become nervous and fret that you will never pass the PMP exam and your all dreams will be shattered.

I regularly receive emails from aspirants who have failed the PMP exam. Their frustration is evident. Sometimes, these aspirants have failed the exam for a second or third time. .

If this has happened to you, you may have the same, unsettling feelings. However, I ask you not fret because you can pass the PMP exam on your next attempt.

Please note, if you failed the PMP exam on your first attempt, you will have two more attempts with in your one-year eligibility. If you do not, you will not be able to fill out the application again for a year. Even if you don’t attempt the exam or you failed in the remaining two attempts, you cannot take the test for this restriction period.

It is a stressful event that can consume your thoughts. However, how worried should you be? How likely are you, by percentage, to be one of the aspirants selected for an audit?

First of all, you should know that your chance of being selected for an audit is 50%; either you will be or you won’t.

This is actually a mystery, and no one knows how many PMP certification applications are selected for an audit.
