I have mentioned the features of both monday.com and Jira Software above, where we learned that both options come with a good number of similar features that can help businesses manage their projects effectively. However, Jira Software is designed with software teams in mind, making it a perfect fit for technical teams.
Whereas monday.com is best for non-technical teams, a lot can be done on the platform as it is very customizable.
Features like roadmaps are missing on monday.com, which are available in Jira Software.
Results: If you are a software developer team, I recommend going with Jira Software. But for an individual non-technical user, monday.com is a better option.
A platform is of no use if it is difficult to use. So the interface of the software plays an important role here.

Based on my experience with both the software, here are my thoughts.
For monday.com, I did not need the help of the tour guide or knowledge base. For Jira Software, I did need them, as sometimes it was difficult to understand a particular functionality and I had a tough time navigating to a particular feature.
Results: Based on my user experience, I consider monday.com to be the winner here.

If we compare the prices of the two software, Jira’s premium plan is at 14.50 USD per user per month, whereas monday.com’s pro plan, which is equivalent to Jira’s premium plan, is 16 USD per month with the annual plan, or 20 USD per user per month.
