However, Jira Software is designed with software teams in mind, making it a perfect fit for technical teams.

Based on my experience with both the software, here are my thoughts. 

For, I did not need the help of the tour guide or knowledge base. For Jira Software, I did need them, as sometimes it was difficult to understand a particular functionality and I had a tough time navigating to a particular feature.

Results: Based on my user experience, I consider to be the winner here. 


We learned about both software’s pricing structures in their respective pricing sections. has a per-group per-month pricing structure. The group number starts with 3 and goes on as 5, 10, 15, 20, and so on and so forth. 

Jira does not have a per-group pricing structure, it is a per-user structure, which means if you are a team of 6 people, you will pay for only those 6 seats. 

If we compare the prices of the two software, Jira’s premium plan is at 14.50 USD per user per month, whereas’s pro plan, which is equivalent to Jira’s premium plan, is 16 USD per month with the annual plan, or 20 USD per user per month. Clearly, Jira Software’s rates are less than in all the plans.
