Best Agile Project Management Software

What are the 7 best agile project management software available on the market? Before I answer this question, let’s discuss agile and agile project management software.

Agile is a methodology that encourages tasks to be broken into several phases instead of processing the projects all at once. It focuses on continuous client involvement.

One of the key benefits of following an agile methodology is detecting and deflecting hindrances to efficient project completion.

Agile project management software is an application that project managers use to allocate tasks to their teams and get work done on time.

Agile software lets you assign tasks, see statuses and track progress. Team members can share documents, files, and conversations. Everything related to tasks is organized in one place.

This article will discuss the top seven agile project management software tools that a project manager can use.

7 Best Agile Project Management Software

The following are the seven best agile project management software:

  1. monday.com
  2. nTask
  3. ClickUp
  4. Pivotal Tracker
  5. Wrike
  6. IceScrum
  7. ActiveCollab

#1. monday.com

monday.com

monday.com is trusted by 125,000 teams, including some of the most successful companies, like Discovery Channel, Fiverr, Wix, and Philips.

monday.com does not need any introduction, so let’s discuss the features of this agile project management software.

Features

  • You can create tasks and assign them to your team members. The platform is fully customizable. Break down your tasks into multiple sprints and have the teamwork to complete them in a given time frame. You can set priority for each task.
  • Another notable feature on monday.com is that you can automate your repetitive tasks to save time.
  • A wide range of third-party integrations is available.
  • monday.com has multiple ways to see task data. You can switch to Kanban, calendar, boards, charts, timelines, and card views. You can easily drag and drop your tasks from one board to another.
  • Dashboards let you see what is going on with your projects, your team workload, and how you spend your budget. This section is full of bar charts, pie charts, and data.
  • monday.com provides 200+ templates to help you get started.

Ratings

monday.com-rating-oct21

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Free trial on paid plans
  • Popular software
  • Provides uptime status.

Cons

Pricing

monday.com pricing oct21

monday.com has four plans, including a free one. Previously there were five plans, but they removed the Basic, which started at 8 USD per user per month.

You have Free, Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Free is one of the offerings that deserve to be in the Pro section. You can subscribe to the free plan if you are a small team (two members) and on a budget.

The Standard plan comes at 10 USD per seat per month, and the minimum number of team members is 3, so you will need to pay 30 USD monthly if you go for the standard plan.

The Pro plan starts at 16 USD per user per month and with the same conditions, which adds up to 48 USD per month.

These rates are for annual subscriptions; monthly plans have higher costs. That would be 12 USD per user per month for the Standard plan and 20 USD per user per month for the Pro.

The Enterprise plan requires you to contact support with your requirements.
